How can we help?

Answers to the questions people ask most, and a way to reach the people who make Zeglow.

Ask a question or report a problem

Zeglow is made in the open. Questions, problems and ideas go to the project on GitHub, where you can see what others have asked and follow the answer.

Please describe what you saw in words. Don’t attach screenshots that show other people or private information; Zeglow never needs your photos to help you.

Common questions

Zeglow can’t see my photos

Zeglow sees what you allow in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Zeglow. With Full Access it can work on your whole library; with Limited Access it sees only the photos you chose, and you can add more from the note at the top of the Library.

Why was this photo suggested?

Every suggestion can say why. In a review, tap Why to see the rule and which of its conditions the photo met. For any photo, its Info lists each rule and what that rule decided.

Will Zeglow delete anything on its own?

No. Photos you set aside wait in the Tray, and nothing is deleted until you open the Tray and confirm. Photos then asks you as well and moves them to Recently Deleted, where you can still recover them.

Why does a rule say it can’t tell, or that it’s waiting for a look?

Some conditions need to look at the picture itself. Rather than guess, this version keeps those photos waiting and says so. A photo is also kept safe when a Keep rule can’t be checked, for example when Zeglow can’t read whether it belongs to a Shared Library.

Can Zeglow remove the keywords it added?

Not yet. Removing a keyword safely needs proof that it is still Zeglow’s and that you didn’t add the same word yourself, and this version can’t prove that. So every keyword stays as it is; you can edit keywords in Photos at any time.

Why doesn’t my widget show a photo?

Widgets choose only photos you took, never screenshots, documents, receipts or pictures saved from elsewhere, and only photos Zeglow has already looked at on the device. Open Zeglow once so it can prepare them; iOS decides when widgets refresh, so a change can take a little while to appear.

How do I start over?

In Zeglow’s Settings, choose Delete App Data. It erases everything Zeglow keeps on the device and leaves your photos, albums and keywords in Photos exactly as they are.

What you need

Zeglow runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 27 or later; the iPhone Duo’s facing pages need iOS 27.1. It works with your Apple Photos library, including iCloud Photos.
